After a long time coming, we finally see the finish line! HVAC and drywall finished. Concrete floors being stained and polished, wide plank hardwood floors being installed, paint and reclaimed lumber going up. Next comes kitchen cabinets, lighting and other distinctive finishes like wallpaper and handmade cement tiles. We are busy, busy, busy and our bohemian-industrial church renovation is almost complete! Can't wait to show you in October!
Full steam ahead! The new slab foundation for the polished concrete floors has been formed and the plumbing crew is roughing-in for the open-concept kitchen and 3+ bathrooms. The new roof is complete and the new windows will soon be installed. Before you know it, this will be a new home! We've set target completion/list date for Feb 2016. Check back here for progress reports!
It isn't easy to turn a church into a functional single-family home! We have labored over the floor plan for months now! After many late nights and long meetings, we are ready to submit the plans to the City. Here is your sneak peak at what we hope to create... God and City willing!
Plans are almost complete to create a 4++BR/3.5BA green home from this abandoned Church shell! Submitting to zoning and design review for approval in the next few weeks and hope to break ground in March! We will post the layout once approved so you can get a sneak peak! Believe us when we say this property is going to be AMAAAAAZING! This is how it looks today:
